Our Alameda High School Music Programs have kicked off during the pandemic school year. For the first half of the year, active classes are Guitar and Jazz Band. Our director, Mitchel White, is holding these classes via Zoom and in addition to traditional performance learning, they are being introduced to music production. Watch this space for upcoming virtual events.
Our student-lead marching band, The Sting, is holding meetings and working virtual performance opportunities, including an upcoming performance for Veteran’s Day.
Times are tough, but we are proud to see our students remaining focused and looking for ways to learn from this experience! Want to help Alameda High Music students? DONATE HERE! Because instruments still break, and when we get back to normal, we’ll need the financial resources to LET THE STUDENTS PLAY!
We are so happy to announce that our Winter Concert Raffle fundraiser was not only a lot of fun, but was a very successful fundraiser! We raised over $4500, including an unexpected grant of $500 from the local OddFellows Lodge who has a member that was an AHS Music alumni and came to see our show last night. Keep on keeping on with those Triquest card sales and we will very likely make our fundraising goal by March!
